GE Ohmeda disposable SPO2 probes

The patient sensor end of the product is clamped the patient’s index finger with (Thumb, middle finger or others, great toes), and the device connector is connected to compatible monitors or oximeters with SPO2 extension cord. The product adopts 660nm red light and 905nm Infrared light as incident light source, tests light intensity through tissue to obtain SPO2 value as well as pulse rate.

    PRODUCT INTRODUCTION

    To connect disposable SPO2 probes to a monitor, follow these steps:

    Ensure that the monitor is turned off before connecting the SPO2 probe.

    Locate the SPO2 port on the front or side of the monitor. It is usually labeled "SPO2" or "SpO2".

    Remove the protective cap from the SPO2 port.

    Take the disposable SPO2 probe and identify the connector end. It should have a shape that matches the SPO2 port on the monitor.

    Align the connector of the disposable SPO2 probe with the SPO2 port on the monitor and gently insert it. Make sure it is properly aligned and inserted securely to ensure reliable readings.

    Once connected, ensure that the connection is secure by giving it a gentle tug to check for any looseness.

    Turn on the monitor and wait for it to initialize. The display should show the SPO2 reading if the probe is connected correctly.

    Place the probe on the patient's finger, earlobe, or another appropriate site according to the instructions for the specific type of SPO2 probe being used.

    Position the probe securely and ensure that it is properly secured to prevent any movement or dislodgement.

    Observe the monitor to ensure that it is displaying a stable and accurate SPO2 reading. If there are any issues or errors, check the connection and positioning of the probe.

    Dispose of the SPO2 probe according to the appropriate waste disposal guidelines.
